Soft Reset

January was a month to purge the closets, organize all things (both physically and digitally), work like mad, and watch some football. Now, as they say, let’s { } go.

Here’s to setting sights on a year of travel ahead. Where will you be heading? As for us, just a few reminders…

We try to stay away from “scratch the surface” travel. Still ew to those that touch down in a place, give it a look, take some snappy photos and move on. We visit, revisit, and revisit again and again to create constantly evolving understanding and appreciation for a place. Fewer places that we deeply love and oodles of interesting and cool recommendations to share with this community. Thou shall love the near and far - spend one weekend in Athens Greece and the next in Buffalo New York.

Our usual musing on where to find the best wool sweater in the Faroe Islands, the best ten-cent-fresh-loaf-of-bread in the Azores and the best hot bath virtually anywhere will commence. We of course always collect as we move through. We try to support local designers and makers along with vintage and resale shops that suit the Dipa ethos. At the holidays these treasures collected all year are for sale in our pop up shop. Whether you are someone who travels regularly, every so often, or not at all, I think you’re in the right place. How lucky are we to have a digital world that can bring everyone closer to these places. Many use Dip A Toe guides for trip planning - yes, love it. Some people though, may just need it for a daily dose of daydream and that is equally as important.
