Historical house, former home to a beloved Icelandic artist. His father built the house in 1916 after blueprints from Iceland’s state architect of that time. Needless to say - endless special architectural details.

Within walking distance to everything but in a more neighborhood spot than most hotels in Reykjavik.

Stay in the garden apartments - lots of space and the garden makes it extra special. I stayed in other rooms that I did not care for as much.

The owners are kind, knowledgable and helpful.

Coming and going between other parts of Iceland.

Faroe Islands, weekly direct flights to the Faroes from Reykjavik.

Historic, classic, with simple modern amenities.
